Overview
A practical comparison between conventional analogue coating processes and emerging digital coating technologies. This session explores the evolution from traditional coating methods towards digital deposition approaches, including hybrid solutions and fully digital systems. The session will examine the technical, economic and operational benefits of digitalisation, while highlighting the key challenges involved in transitioning coatings from analogue application methods to digital processes. Particular focus will be given to the requirements for successful inkjet coating, including material compatibility, process optimisation and the formulation considerations needed for reliable precision digital deposition.
