Overview
An introduction to industrial inkjet as an advanced precision digital coating technology. This session explores how inkjet enables the controlled digital deposition of paints, coatings and functional materials, providing new levels of flexibility, accuracy and process control. The session covers the fundamentals of industrial printhead operation, droplet generation mechanisms and digital deposition system architecture, explaining how printhead design and operating conditions influence coating performance, quality and reliability. Examples of current and emerging industrial applications will be presented, demonstrating how inkjet coating is enabling the transition from conventional coating processes towards advanced digital manufacturing solutions.
Speakers

Tri Tuladhar
Founder and Director · TriJet
Dr Tri Tuladhar is the Founder and Director of TriJet Limited, specialising in industrial inkjet technology, ink formulation, fluid characterisation and printhead development. With over 25 years of experience across academia and industry, he helps manufacturers, formulators and end users develop reliable digital deposition solutions. He developed the TriPAV® high-frequency rheometer and TriMaster® filament stretching rheometer to characterise fluid behaviour relevant to inkjet printing. He regularly delivers international training courses and advises companies transitioning from conventional coating processes to digital manufacturing. At this workshop, Dr Tuladhar and fellow specialists will explore inkjet opportunities, technical challenges and formulation strategies, providing practical guidance for paint and coating professionals considering digital deposition.

Yoshinori “Yoshi” Domae
